Kanye Shrugs Off Anti Semitism Backlash, Links up With Ray J

Kanye West has been the center of a media whirlwind this past week, and he’s standing firm in his highly controversial words.

Instagram vs Kanye
From an angered personal trainer to shut down bank accounts, this may be the most criticism Kanye has received yet. It all began Oct 8 when ye violated Instagram’s guidelines with some strange comments about Jewish people. During a heated iMessage fight with P Diddy, West alluded to the New York mogul being a puppet to Jewish shot callers.
“This ain’t a game Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me I told you this was war Now gone get you some business,” he typed. Ye posted the screenshot of this argument to IG with the caption “Jesus is Jew”.

This prompted IG to suspend the Chicago rapper’s account. However, that didn’t stop Kanye from spreading his rhetoric. In a now-deleted tweet, he promised to go “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE” and offered a defense to the heavy backlash from his industry peers. “The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

Kanye Gets Contentious
This week, unaired footage from the ‘Flashing Lights’ rapper’s Fox News interview drew even more anger. Amongst all the topics Kanye touched on during the interview, including the “white lives matter” shirt and his daughter’s birthday debacle, Jewish people were definitely the most unexpected. The 41-year-old first commented that he wants his four children to celebrate Hanukah instead of Kwanza due to “financial engineering.” It’s assumed this was hinting towards the rumor of Jewish people owning financial institutions globally.
He then made an odd comparison between Jewish people dancing and Black people being judgmental amongst themselves. In addition to this, he stated planned parenthood was made to “control the Jew population”.
“Think about us judging each other on how white we could talk would be like, you know, a Jewish person judging another Jewish person on how good they danced or something… I mean, that’s probably like a bad example and people are going to get mad at that shit.” Kanye tried to explain. “I probably want to edit that out” he threw in.

Happy to Cross the Line
This combination of strange remarks on the Jewish community has culminated in a hard week for Ye. While celebrities like Jamie Lee Curtis have publicly condemned the Yeezus star, he’s already lost deals with GAP and J.P. Morgan Chase. Despite this, it looks like an apology isn’t on the horizon. According to TMZ, Ye is “happy to have crossed the line”. Apparently, his frustration stems from “bad experience” working with Jewish company executives.
Although Kanye has some clearly complex feelings on the matter, he made sure to denounce violence. “No. No way. But I do feel that in Hollywood, especially with Black entertainers,” he said when asked if he wishes any harm on the Jewish community. “I’ve had a lot of bad experiences. And then people use that anti-Semite idea to cover up bad business, to say, ‘Hey, if you call somebody out for bad business, that means you’re being anti-Semitic.’”
He expounded further on this, “So I feel happy to have crossed the line of that idea, so you can speak openly about, you know, things like being canceled from the bank. A lot of this stuff with me is the richest Black man in American history. I put $140 million in JP Morgan and never even had a chance to — not even get a deal from” Ye was cut off by a moving truck before he could finish.
“We’ll speak at a different time,” he told the photographer before hopping into his vehicle.

Kanye and Candace
This clarification comes after Candace Owens announced on Kanye’s behalf his account with J.P. Morgan Chase Bank had been closed. “Earlier today I learned that @kanyewest was officially kicked out of JP Morgan Chase bank,” she tweeted. In the unreleased email, West was allegedly asked to “promptly transfer your business to another financial institution before November 21.”

The bank has yet to make a public statement.
Speaking of Candace Owens, that’s just one new friend Kanye has made recently. At yesterday’s premiere of her Black Lives Matter documentary, Kanye surprisingly walked the carpet with Ray J. Of course, Ray is primarily known for the sex tape that thrust Kim Kardashian into fame over a decade ago. The pair, alongside UFC star Colby Covington and Owens, were pictured together in an unlikely group shot. All except Ray J have been outspoken opposers of the Black Lives Matter movement, which particularly gained traction back in 2020.
